ReeR Spa’s successful application focused on the Port of Brisbane, specifically within its advanced automated terminal, the AutoStrad™ Terminal. This state-of-the-art facility is an example of large-scale port automation, where overhead cranes, quay cranes and Autonomous Guided Vehicles (AGVs) work in concert to efficiently manage container loading and unloading operations.
Automation minimizes human intervention, which brings significant benefits in terms of safety and operational efficiency, but also presents new challenges in terms of security and access control.
In a highly automated environment such as the AutoStrad™ terminal, it is essential to have an advanced security system that prevents unauthorized access to operational areas where automated container handling and the operation of self-driving vehicles pose potential security risks.
Safety solutions must also be able to respond to adverse environmental conditions such as rain, snow, salt spray and intense sunlight that are typical of port and industrial environments. - Admiral WTH UV Dual Beam safety light curtains with a range of up to 50 m, in an IP67 watertight, heated, UV- and salt-resistant enclosure
- WT_LL SS stainless steel brackets for mounting barriers, on FMC-B12 SS or FMC-B18 SS aluminum columns with stainless steel hardware and accessories
- Bases for FMC CB SS or FMC CBL SS columns made entirely of stainless steel

Watertight enclosures are designed to protect barriers from water jets, steam and other external agents, while also providing advanced mechanical protection, while heated versions (H – Heated) allow proper operation even at extremely low temperatures as low as -25°C, thanks to the heating system with built-in thermostatic control.
